Meryl and her family were living in a dog pen outside. They had some human interaction, but not enough. She needs a kind understanding person who has patience to work with her. Meryl does let some people pet her and brush her. She has even been known to like belly rubs. Bribery with treats works to get her out of her bed. We notice her confidence improve each week. She has learned the kind volunteers are here to take care of her so she trusts more all the time. Shy cats can become such good friends for the people who take time to work with them and give them much needed love and attention.
